Purpose of, and legal basis for, the processing of my Personal Data?
The purpose of processing your Personal Data will depend on the reason you have provided it to Elaine Mullally

Personal Data which you have provided may include your Name, Address, Contact details, Date of Birth, Bank account or credit card details.
Elaine Mullally collects this information and maintains it in an electronic database and in some cases in hard copy form, where applicable. Elaine Mullally may also use your contact information to communicate directly with you.

Elaine Mullally is permitted to process your Personal Data and Special category Personal Data under the GDPR and under the Irish Data Protection Acts 1988 to 2018.
When you submit Personal Data to Elaine Mullally that may reveal your political opinions (for example, through a contact or feedback form submitted on this website), Elaine Mullally will only process this information on the basis that the processing is necessary to enable Elaine Mullally to compile data on people’s political opinions in the course of its electoral activities.

It is done so on the basis of your explicit consent which we request at the time you provide your Personal Data and which you can withdraw at any time by contacting dataprotection@elainemullally.ie with the subject “Unsubscribe” or by visiting our opt-out page.
Direct marketing: In addition, Elaine Mullally may communicate with you information about certain events, activities and fundraising events via email, social media and other messaging services, regular mail and/or text messages if you have consented to this.
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. If you wish to exercise this right, please send us an email to dataprotection@elainemullally with a header that says “Unsubscribe” or use the “Unsubscribe” button in any such email or by visiting our opt-out page.

Your Personal Data can be accessed by myself and a limited number of volunteers working with me. This will be done in accordance with this Notice only.
Elaine Mullally uses some external providers for sending out regular mail; for sending emails; for sending electronic and text messages and for payment processing purposes. All of these providers are Data Processors on behalf of Elaine Mullally and contracts are in place with them to ensure they treat your Personal Data securely and in compliance with the GDPR.
Will anyone else have access to my Personal Data?
Your Personal Data will be stored electronically on the Elaine Mullally Supporter Database and hard copies if needed will be stored in secure filing cabinets. During maintenance of the database, IT support and Database Support providers may have access to the Personal Data in the database. Such providers are Data Processors and contracts are in place with them to ensure they treat your Personal Data securely and in compliance with the GDPR.
Will my Personal Data be transferred outside of the European Economic Area?
Your Personal Data may be sent outside of the European Economic Area (‘EEA’) as a result of Elaine Mullally use of certain software (e.g. Google Analytics), the providers of which store and process some of its data in servers outside of the EEA. Such transfers are on the basis of safeguard measures such as standard contractual clauses under Article 46.2 of the GDPR or an adequacy decision by the European Commission under Article 45 of the GDPR.
How long will my Personal Data be stored for?
In general we will only keep your Personal Data for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it is collected and for a reasonable period of time thereafter.
Personal Data obtained for the purpose of donation is retained for 5 years after the transaction as details may be required after this time in order to comply with certain legal obligations to which Elaine Mullaly is subject to for example, the Standards in Public Office and to demonstrate proof of payment.

Elaine Mullally will respond to your request within one month of receipt. That period may be extended by two further months where necessary, taking into account the complexity and number of requests. We will inform you of any such extension within one month of receipt of your request. We may request proof of identification to verify your request. We have the right to refuse your request where there is a basis to do so in law, or if it is manifestly unfounded or excessive, or to the extent necessary for important objectives of public interest.
