Elaine Casual

About me

My name is Elaine Mullally (née Roycroft), a native of Portarlington. I have lived and worked in County Laois all my life. I have been married to Aidan for 30 years, and we have two daughters, Rachel (21) and Becky (20).

I grew up in a small housing estate, St. Brigids Square in Portarlington, with my parents and five sisters, surrounded by good friends and neighbours.

Through my career over the past 30 years, I have established a proven track record in project management, always ensuring delivery on time and within budget. I am solutions driven and outcomes oriented.

I have always been an active community member and currently serve as a Peace Commissioner. I believe that engagement with the public across all towns and villages in Laois will be essential to achieving “More for Laois.” Unlike our current TDs, I will not go missing for five years if elected; I will deliver in the only way I know—by rolling up my sleeves and getting the job done for the people of Laois.

I served on the board of directors for Portarlington Credit Union for six years and I am an active volunteer with Portarlington Tidy Towns.

Sport

Numerous sporting association and event involvement

Sport has always been a key part of my life. I coached U16 Basketball (Kestrels), assisted with fundraising for St. Conleths Football Club and I established St. Michael’s AC (senior) Club in 2010.
